Our Mission

Perceptronix’s mission is to commercialize effective technologies to improve the early detection, localization, diagnosis and follow-up of cancer. Our initial focus is on products to improve the diagnosis of lung cancer, which has reached epidemic proportions and typically has a poor outcome (five year survival rate is less than 15%) because symptoms usually are not present until advanced stages of the disease.

We believe early diagnosis is the key to effective lung cancer management and improving lung cancer outcomes. Early diagnosis has been demonstrated to be effective in improving cervical cancer outcomes by our partners, the BC Cancer Agency. BCCA introduced the world’s first population-based screening program for cervical cancer in the 1950s and 1960s using the Pap test. This program led to earlier diagnosis of cervical cancer and a corresponding reduction in disease-specific mortality and morbidity by 70-80%.

Adopting this approach, Perceptronix intends to provide a portfolio of complementary products designed to enable early lung cancer diagnosis. We believe that our first three product offerings – the ClearSign™ System for early detection, the ClearVu™ Endoscopy Systems for localization, and the ClearPath™ and ClearCyte™ Quantitative Pathology Systems as an aid to definitive diagnosis – will form an integrated solution for the earlier diagnosis of lung cancer.
